About 55 guys A DAY are diagnosed with prostate cancer, and it's the second most common cause of male deaths in Australia. Pretty shocking statistics.
We're happy to have been selected to work with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia's Queensland branch in a fund raising effort. Wayne Kelly, a skilled gem cutter and cancer survivor has faceted this blue spinel which features an awareness ribbon cut into the stones pavilion. We will using this as a foundation to design a beautiful pendant to form the cornerstone of this years fund raising spearheaded by Wayne's efforts.
The completed item will be raffled off - and tickets will be available in the showroom
Here is our latest restyle. A stunning 3.00ct round diamond with the prettiest lemony tint surrounded with a halo of bright white diamonds handset in solid 18ct white gold. The addition of slim 18ct yellow gold Tiffany prongs ties the two together.
Within the flowing lines of this infinity shaped pendant are 3 very unusual "Lily-Cut" diamonds. The Lily cut is an exquisite flower-shaped diamond with four "petals" and a square table. The Lily cut has 65 facets compared to the 43 facets of the princess cut and is cut exclusively by Lili Diamonds. It is a very rare cut, not often seen. The situation became even more difficult for consumers in 2007 when the cutter, Lili Diamonds, entered into an exclusive arrangement with Louis Vuitton that has all Lily cut diamonds are reserved for exclusive use in Louis Vuitton jewellery. Louis Vuitton found the four petals of the Lily cut are a good match for the four-petal flower shape often seen in their trademark patterns. The Lily cut diamonds are therefore now no available to any wholesaler or retailer outside the Louis Vuitton distribution channels.

It's never nice to need to make an insurance claim, especially when your jewellery has been stolen.
However our client used this opportunity to create something truly special. Finding inspiration from antique jewellery auction sites they settled on this gorgeous diamond cluster.
Total diamond weight is 1.81ct and features delicate 'mill grain' - this is the tiny, lace like accents you can see on the metal embracing the outer edge of the band.
